Wildebeest Tracking Calendar

The Great Wildebeest Migration happens over several months. Finding the herd depends, in part, on where the lushest grasses are for grazing. Overall, however, they make a predictable path, allowing you to visit certain areas of the Serengeti and Ndutu plains to capture this amazing natural wonder.

Here’s where you can find the herd:

December - March: Far south Serengeti

April - May: Central Serengeti

June - July: Western corridor and north of the Serengeti

August - October: near the Mara river
