Zara Tanzania Adventures lead CSR efforts at Kilimanjaro foothills

The esteemed Tanzanian tour operator has committed over 100 million Tanzanian Shillings to construct a state-of-the-art classroom dedicated to children in Moshi Municipality, Kilimanjaro Region.

On the breathtaking southern slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, a remarkable story of corporate social responsibility is unfolding, one that illuminates the path for a brighter educational future for the children of Moshi Urban.

Zara Tanzania Adventures, an esteemed Tanzanian tour operator, has embarked on a mission that transcends their business to touch the very heart of the community they call the low hills home.

Over 100 million Tanzanian Shillings (about $38,610) have been committed by Zara Tanzania Adventures to construct a state-of-the-art classroom dedicated to children of Moshi Municipality in Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania.

This ambitious endeavour epitomises the company’s ethos of giving back to the society that supports them.

Spearheaded by the visionary Founder and CEO, Ms Zainab Ansell, the initiative reflects her profound dedication to education as a lasting tool against poverty.

“If you want to help people to fight against poverty, give them education,” Ms Zainab passionately asserted, a belief that fuels her philanthropic pursuits.

The unfolding of this new educational chapter began in earnest in April 2024. Zara Tanzania Adventures, together with the generous support of donors, tirelessly worked to create an inspiring learning environment.

Fast forward to February 17, 2025, the day marked with triumph and joy as the new classroom was ceremoniously opened to the eager faces of Moshi’s youngest learners.

With a total investment of TSh 105,869,700/=, the project stands as a testament to the power of collective goodwill and its far-reaching impact on the community.
