  ENSURING THE WELL-BEING OF PORTERS COMES FIRST     Health Checkups and Insurance Coverage we proudly conducted a successful health training program focused on First Aid and general well-being, reaching 600 hardworking porters. This initiative played a crucial role in equipping them with life-saving skills, improving their safety on the mountain, and ensuring they were better prepared for emergencies. The positive impact of this training was clear, as porters were able to handle minor injuries, recognize early signs of altitude sickness, and support each other in difficult situations. This training aligns with the Mount Kilimanjaro Porters Society’s (MKPS) mission to protect and empower porters, ensuring fair treatment and safe working conditions.     As we enter another rainy season, our focus remains on strengthening health training efforts.
