On the 2024 Taxpayer’s Appreciation Day, the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) recognized her outstanding commitment to tax compliance, awarding her the No. 3 Winner in the Large Taxpayer’s Category for the Kilimanjaro Region in the 2023/24 financial year.

This prestigious recognition highlights Ansel’s dedication not only to ethical business practices but also to Tanzania’s economic development. I am a Tanzanian based business magnate, investor and philanthropist. I started Zara Tours in 1986, organizing African safaris, climbs to Mount. Meru and Mount. Kilimanjaro and trips to Zanzibar. Today, Zara Tours is Tanzania’s No.1 Kilimanjaro outfitter and one of the biggest safari operators.
