ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES AND ZARA CHARITY LEAD KILIMANJARO CLEANUP INITIATIVE

 


In a strong show of environmental commitment Zara Tanzania Adventures and Zara Charity in collaboration with KINAPA (Kilimanjaro National Park Authority) organized a major clean-up campaign on Mount Kilimanjaro under the theme “Trash In, Trash Out.”

 

The initiative took place along the Lemosho and Shira routes extending all the way up to the base camp with the goal of preserving the mountain’s natural beauty and ensuring a cleaner greener Kilimanjaro.

 

As shown in the photo Zainab Ansell (Mama Zara) the Founder and Director of Zara Tanzania Adventures and Zara Charity officially flagged off the clean-up team. Her presence and encouragement inspired the climber’s porters and volunteers to take part in maintaining the mountain’s ecosystem and promoting sustainable tourism practices.


“Green Tanzania Starts with Us,”  this slogan guided the team’s efforts reminding everyone that protecting the environment begins with individual responsibility and collective action.

 

The campaign not only focused on collecting litter left behind by climbers and trekkers but also aimed to educate mountain crews and visitors on the importance of responsible tourism. Through this collaboration Zara Tanzania Adventures continues to lead by example in promoting eco-friendly and community driven tourism in Tanzania.

 

This initiative reflects Zara’s long term commitment to environmental conservation community empowerment and the protection of Mount Kilimanjaro  the iconic roof of Africa.
