 ZARA TANZANIA ADVENTURES LAUNCHES“TWENZETU KILELENI SEASON 5” AND “TWENZETU SERENGETI”

 


Dar es Salaam, 10 September 2026 – Zara Tanzania Adventures has officially launched the “Twenzetu Kileleni – Season 5” and “Twenzetu Serengeti” campaigns during a press conference held at the National College of Tourism, near IFM City Center, Dar es Salaam.

The campaigns aim to encourage Tanzanians, government and private institutions, companies, organizations, universities, groups, and the wider community to actively participate in domestic tourism while appreciating and taking pride in the unique attractions with which Tanzania is blessed.

Through Twenzetu Kileleni – Season 5, participants will have the opportunity to climb Mount Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route and reach the summit on 9 December 2026, as part of

celebrations marking 65 years of Tanganyika’s Independence. The special participation fee is TZS 1,800,000 per person, covering essential services for the climb, including accommodation,

meals, transportation, government fees, mountain guides, porters, cooks, and essential trekking equipment.

In addition to the journey to the summit, participants in Twenzetu Kileleni will also have an opportunity to plant trees as part of their contribution towards protecting the environment and restoring natural vegetation. The tree seedlings will be provided by Zara Tanzania Charity, an organization that implements various social and environmental projects aimed at supporting communities and contributing to sustainable development in Tanzania.




This initiative is intended to make Twenzetu Kileleni more than simply a mountain-climbing experience, as participants will also leave a positive environmental impact through tree planting while promoting greater awareness of the importance of environmental conservation.

On the other hand, Twenzetu Serengeti aims to give Tanzanians an opportunity to experience firsthand the country’s rich wildlife and breathtaking landscapes through a safari that includes the renowned destinations of Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. The safari costs TZS

1,200,000 per person, a special rate applicable to a group of at least seven people.

The safari package includes accommodation, meals, transportation in specially equipped safari vehicles, park entrance fees, and the services of experienced safari guides.

Through these campaigns, Zara Tanzania Adventures continues to emphasize the importance of Tanzanians becoming active participants in their own country’s tourism rather than only hearing about or seeing these attractions being enjoyed by international visitors.

Government institutions, private companies, organizations, community groups, universities, and other groups are encouraged to form teams and participate in Twenzetu Kileleni and Twenzetu Serengeti as a way of demonstrating, promoting, and sustaining patriotism, strengthening

unity, and increasing awareness of the value of Tanzania’s tourism resources.

The central message of these campaigns is to encourage Tanzanians to visit, appreciate, and take pride in their own national heritage.

This December, let us not just hear about Kilimanjaro and Serengeti — let us experience them ourselves.

Kilimanjaro Health Run 2018

The Kilimanjaro Health Run is conducted every year on the beginning of December  as we celebrate the World's Aid Day. This year the health run was celebrated at the Majengo football field and it was highly sponsored by Zara Charity and Zara Tours. This years' aim was to ensure the transmission of HIV Aids in our country goes down to 0%. Many runners within and outside the country joined the movement as a sign of support and all with the aim of eradicating HIV Aids.
