Kilimanjaro climbs, taking place this summer in June and July.

The climbs will feature guide, author, and expert climber Macon Dunnagan.
Dunnagan
is proud to bring the summer climbs back to Tanzania for the 33rd and 34th time
in a row. While his climbs are largely charitable in nature, his two treks this
summer will focus on teaching climbers how to properly summit the 19,000 foot
mountain.
Dunnagan
has a friendly, ongoing relationship with Zara Tours, which in his opinion, and
based on his long term experience in Tanzania is, “the best outfitter and
guide group in the [Eastern region].”
“I
truly like climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and use that to help with travel shows
throughout the country. Zara Tours represents the best of what Tanzania has to
offer and this makes it a good value for an adventurer to see and explore the
region.”
Dunnagan
rarely climbs any route other than the scenic Rongai Route, which exposes its
climbers to both sides of Kilimanjaro. He truly believes in the Kilimanjaro
mantra "pole, pole" (slowly, slowly) because it is too fantastic
a mountain to race up. It gives climbers the chance to completely take in the
beauty of the region.
After
more than 27 years in the travel and hospitality industry, and 34 trips to
Africa, Dunnagan continues to provide climbers with a high level of customer
service throughout their stay in Tanzania, and therefore, visitors can truly
enjoy their six days on Kilimanjaro along with a relaxing and scenic safari
afterward.
Ovarian Cancer, and Alzheimer’s Disease, among others. He is also finishing a second book, with a release date in the near future.
