I started ZARA Tours in 1987, organizing African safaris and climbs to Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro. Today, ZARA tours is Tanzania’s No.1 Kilimanjaro outfitter and one of the biggest safari operators.
I entered the field of hospitality (Tanzania Wildcamps) where currently i operates two hotels, four tented camps and two lodges.
In 2009 through Zara Charity, i initiated a global movement of sustainable tourism and giving back to the vulnerable groups in Tanzania.
Climbing to reach the top of a mountain can be a rewarding experience. Along with the thrills of climbing itself, mountain summits often offer sweeping views and uniquely solitary environments. However, it’s important to understand the health and physical challenges you may face when seeking adventure at high altitudes. This journey is especially demanding for porters. As the country’s leading Kilimanjaro Outfitter, Zara Tours health puts it’s porters health and well-being at the forefront of each mountain trekking adventure to ensure a successful summit for its clients. Last Month the company provided Mount Kilimanjaro porters Society - MKPS with high quality climbing gear in order to ensure the porters health and well-being on Mount Kilimanjaro.
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE OUR OCEAN CLEAN
We are excited to announce that we will be going back to the Indian Ocean Coastline in Tanga this November under Zara Foundation. Ocean trash is a serious pollution problem that affects the health of people, wildlife, local economies and is the leading cause for warming oceans and rising sea levels. This November 2018 will mark the second of our Coastal Cleanup activities, it will be an incredible volunteer effort for helping to clean the ocean, attracting groups of volunteers to remove thousands of pounds of trash and debris from beaches while recording every piece of trash found. Zara Foundation's mission is to address Climate Change through land and marine Eco-systemspreservation. The countdown to November is on, save the Date!
